The best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks hasn't been here long, but we've definitely made our way into the hearts (and stomachs) of many happy customers. Conveniently located on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, Tuckers Shuckers has a lot more than just a great menu to offer.

The freshest oysters at the Lake of the Ozarks can be found in our kitchen daily. Along with our daily oyster menu choices, we also feature an oyster of the month. They will always be fresh, and they will always be prepared to perfection. Whether you like them on the half shell, chargrilled, or fried, we've got a flavor for everyone.

If you happen to be an ostraconophobiac (meaning you are not a fan of shellfish), we've got a wide array of delicious menu choices available for you too. You will find amazing appetizers, homemade clam chowder, savory salads, signature burgers and sandwiches, mouth-watering entrees, and even delectable desserts. 

People can't seem to get enough of our Lobster Mac & Cheese, the Kill Bill Tenderloin could be considered a sandwich and a half, and if you haven't tasted our Shuckers Pie, then next time you should start your meal with dessert! Our menu is sure to please everyone in your dining party.        

Incredible Weekly Specials

Every week we offer two spectacular food specials that will definitely keep you coming back again and again. Each "Top Sirloin Tuesday" you can get our savory 8-ounce certified Angus top sirloin steak, aged 21 days, along with a baked potato and salad for only $9.99. 

We go for a bit of Cajun flavor with our "Seafood Boil Thursdays." Come in super hungry or bring in a friend or two to share with. For only $19.99, we fill you up with one pound of crawfish, a half-pound of shrimp, a half-pound of Andouille sausage, plus sweet corn and red potatoes. Mmmm boy!  

Fantastic Full Bar (& There's 2 of Them!)

Tuckers Shuckers has a fully stocked bar both upstairs and down. When it's nice outside, we open the windows and you can order directly from the bartender from the deck. Not only do we have all of your favorite spirits, but we also boast 28 different ice cold beers on tap. 

Happy Hour happens every Monday-Friday from 3 pm - 6 pm. Our 22-ounce beers are just $3 each, as well as glasses of our house wine. You'll need something to wash down with those refreshing drinks, so we also offer 50%-off of some of our amazing appetizers during Happy Hour.   

Exciting Live Music and Events

There is always something fun going on at Tuckers Shuckers every single weekend of the year. Once summer rolls around, we infuse a little bit of that excitement into the weekdays too. Our stage hosts the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks. Once a month we hold our now famous Beer Pong Tournaments with a live DJ and big cash prizes.

Now Through February - LOTS of Parties at Tuckers Shuckers!

There's never a dull moment at Tuckers Shuckers, and the list of exciting events coming up over the next few weeks is proof of that.  Some visitors to the area assume that there is nothing to do in the winter at the Lake.  If you run into any of those people, you send them on over the the best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks so they can see just how wrong they are!

Winter Beach Party - January 30

George is at it again!  He is the king of planning the last-minute party, and we love it! This Saturday, due to the predicted warm winter weather and the fact that we REALLY miss summer, Tuckers Shuckers is throwing a Winter Beach Party.  DJ Geefer Sutherland is heading down from Kansas City to play all of your favorite summer party music.  The shot girls will be offering some incredibly cheap Vegas Bombs too.  

If you really feel like playing along with this whole "beach" theme, anyone in a bikini gets well drinks and domestic draws for 25 cents!  Don't just throw on any old bikini, though, because at the stroke of midnight we will be giving away $200 in our bikini contest!    

Superbowl Sunday - February 7

Get in and get your seat early to watch the big game.  We expect to have a full house that day.  Not only because Tuckers Shuckers is the best place to watch the game at the Lake of the Ozarks, but also because we are giving away a brand new 50" Smart HDTV at halftime, and you have to be present to win.  Enter every single time that you eat or drink with us between now and the game.  With 28 tap beers, 2 bars, 28 HD TVs, and the most delicious food on the Bagnell Dam Strip, this is definitely the place to be!      

Beer Pong Tournament - February 12

As always, it's free to enter and you could take home part of the $700 in cash prizes given out to the top three teams!  Live music from our DJ will keep everyone's energy high, and you can count on some awesome drink specials.  Sign-up starts at 8 pm and we'll make room for 48 teams to compete.   

Valentine's Weekend - February 13 & 14

Treat your sweetheart to a delicious Surf & Turf dinner for Valentine's Day this year. We are extending this special treat over the entire weekend, so you can get this incredible meal on Saturday and Sunday.  Our full menu will still be available, but in honor of this romantic holiday, we've created an extra tasty meal for $29 per person that includes:

• A 21-day aged 6 oz. filet and a 7 oz. cold water lobster tail
• Asparagus and your choice of potato
• House made clam chowder or salad

Mardis Gras Pub Crawl - February 20

The lake area will be packed with party-goers in masks and beads for the 15th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Mardis Gras Pub Crawl.  For only $10, you get access to 32 buses that will take you around town to more than 20 different participating locations.  Every stop will have some type of live entertainment going on, and here at Tuckers Shuckers we will have the amazing DJ Geefer Sutherland.  Buses run from 4 pm - 2:30 am, and they even make stops at many local hotels and motels along the route.

Where Did "Happy Hour" Come From?

The best Happy Hour at the Lake of the Ozarks can be found on the Bagnell Dam Strip, Monday - Friday from 3-6 pm.  Tuckers Shuckers offers incredible drink specials and half-price appetizers each week.  If you have ever indulged in a "Happy Hour," have you found yourself wondering where the term came from?  We were curious, so we did a little digging.  

It actually evolved from a term used in the Navy.  In the 1920's, sailors were given a scheduled amount of time to distract themselves from the monotony of life on a ship. Most of the time "Happy Hour" for them involved some type of athletic activity, such as wrestling or boxing.  Today, Happy Hour for us is still great for injecting a little fun into the monotony of a long day.  

Beyond the Navy, Happy Hours began gaining popularity during prohibition.  People couldn't buy alcohol to go along with their dinner, so they began sneaking off to speakeasies for a few cocktails before heading out to eat for the evening.  The term was adopted, and soon having a few drinks between work and dinner became the thing to do.

New Year's Eve at Tuckers Shuckers - Don't Miss It!

The best place to party this New Year's Eve at the Lake of the Ozarks is with us! Tuckers Shuckers on the Bagnell Dam Strip is hosting the New Year's Eve Party of the Century Thursday night.  For only $40 for advance tickets, or $45 at the door, you will get food, drinks, confetti, balloons, party favors, go-go dancers, and an incredible DJ spinning the best dance hits!

DJ MURPH

Bringing along the most incredible dance music you've ever heard, we'll have DJ Murph out of St. Louis spinning all night long.  You don't have to leave the Lake of the Ozarks to party like you're in the middle of a big city.  Enjoy the experience with less traffic and friendlier crowds.     

OPEN BAR & APPETIZERS

For the low price of $40 (or $45 if you procrastinated, but still a great deal) the bar is open and the appetizer buffet will be full.  Drinks and food are included in your ticket price.  All you have to do is show up with that ticket and enjoy yourself!  

PARTY ATMOSPHERE

A balloon drop and confetti cannons happen at midnight, along with a champagne toast.  Leading up until that, there will be dancing by not only your fellow party-goers, but go-go dancers too!  In case you're a bit shy on the dance floor, they will show you how it's done.  The party won't stop until the bar shuts down at 1:30 am.

Let's Party Like It's the '90's!

After stuffing yourself full of Thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings, you may need to get a little exercise in to combat all those calories.  Well, we've got the perfect way for you to do that.  Dance the night away to all of your favorite 90's hits at Tuckers Shuckers 90's Party!  Your favorite bar at the Lake of the Ozarks will be throwing one fly night celebrating this dope decade.

2015 Lake Stock Fall Crawl - Nov. 7

It's time for another party!  Actually, it's a party every weekend at the best bar on the Bagnell Dam Strip, but this weekend we have a special occasion to go along with it. The Lake Stock Fall Crawl will be traveling all over the Lake area on Saturday night, and Tuckers Shuckers has all of the groovy details for you.

• Wristbands - $10

Your wristband will get you into all of the bars and restaurants that are a part of the Lake Stock Fall Crawl this year, as well as a bus ride to all of them.  As of today, there are 11 stops along the pub crawl route, but more may join the fun.  You can start purchasing wristbands anytime, but they will be available at the door the day of the crawl.  Every venue will have them available for you to purchase.

DJ Geefer Sutherland will be spinning tunes on our Music Shop stage all night long, starting at 8 pm.  He is known as one of the premier up-&-coming DJs in Kansas City, and we've got him all to ourselves this Saturday night.  Make sure that whatever costume you choose is well-equipped with dancing shoes!
