Hear JC the New King of Funk Every Sunday

Tuckers Shuckers on the Bagnell Dam Strip is gaining a reputation for having the best oysters at the Lake of the Ozarks, but we expect to be known for having the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks too.  We feature some of the area's most talented entertainers every weekend and for our open mic night each Tuesday, and this summer we are proud to have JC the New King of Funk every Sunday evening from 6-10 beginning May 31 through August 30.

JC plays raw funk music with his very own unique sound and style.  His show is full of high energy, featuring his own music along with some of the finest Funk, Soul, and R&B covers.  You can expect to hear music from the 70's to 90's by artists like Cameo, Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Rick James, Kool & the Gang, and many more.

Known more widely as JC, Jewel Carter grew up in Kansas City, Missouri.  His parents were both talented singers, leaving no question as to where his love of music began.  Most often you will find JC singing lead vocals and playing his bass guitar, but he is also proficient as a keyboardist, writer, arranger, composer, and producer.  Over the past fifteen years, he has toured and performed with The Gap Band, Roger Troutman, Teena Marie, Bootsy Collins, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, Freddie Jackson, and Tech9, just to name a few.





JC is now touring while he works on his next album.  You can hear a sample of his latest album, "Have U Forever" on his website, as well as seeing a full list of his upcoming shows.  He is a very talented, very busy man playing lots of venues, but you know you can catch him each and every Sunday this Summer at Tuckers Shuckers.  Order off of our delicious menu, grab a drink from our full bar with 28 taps, and enjoy the musical stylings of JC the New King of Funk.  It's the perfect way to end your weekend on a high note and head into your Monday with a smile on your face.

Lake of the Ozarks Bike Nights 2015

Once again this year, the Lake of the Ozarks Bike Night is back on the Bagnell Dam Strip.  For the first time, Tuckers Shuckers is proud to be a sponsor of this monthly event.  Hop on your bike and head on over to the best new restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks to get your Bike Night started.


The Lake of the Ozarks Bike Night takes place starting at 5:30 pm every 3rd Thursday of the month, April through September.  Riders from all around will come together for a night of food, fun, and all things motorcycle.  There are also all kinds of giveaways, including a chance to win either a new Yamaha Stryker 1300 or a customized Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.  If you are the winner, you get to choose which one of those beautiful bikes that you want to take home.  Locations will be selected each Bike Night for you to register at.  The Lake of the Ozarks Bike Night website has all of the details.

Stop on by Tuckers Shuckers during Bike Night.  You can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a drink while you compare bikes. 2015 Hot Summer Nights on the Bagnell Dam Strip

Hot Summer Nights is cruisin' into it's 8th year on the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, MO. This monthly Summer tribute to the good ol' days will take place right in front of the best restaurant and bar at the Lake of the Ozarks- Tucker's Shuckers. It's our first year being around to participate, and we are proud to be a sponsor for this incredible, family friendly event. Between all of the fun outside, take a dinner break with us for the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks, or grab a cold one and chill out at the best bar on the Bagnell Dam Strip. 

You will have plenty of chances all summer long to enjoy this blast from the past. Hot Summer Nights will take place every 2nd Friday, May - September, from 6 pm - 11 pm each night. Admission is always free, and once you arrive you will find all types of entertainment, shopping, games, food, and drinks along the entire mile-long strip. And of course, don't forget about all of the gorgeous classic cars that will be lined up all along the strip too. There really is something fun for every member of your family! 

Every Hot Summer Night has it's own theme, and will be happening come rain or come shine.

Tuckers Shuckers will be featuring the best music at the Lake of the Ozarks on our very own stage too.
